We do not want the user to be allowed to add a non-priced material to a sales order. We want SAP to give the user a hard error.

we have upgraded our BI 4.0. to SP6 - Patch 3 and have installed the DesignStudio ServerComponents (1.1 Patch 1). The application and the server appears in the CMC and we have granted the authorizations as described in the admin-documentation. We are also able to connect the Design Studio to the server and use OLAP-Connections.
Now the problem:
When we run the report locally everything works fine but when we run the report on server side following error message appears in the Browser (IE):
"An error has occurred: An error occurred while trying to view the document".
This also happens when use a report w/o a BI datasource (just a simple button)
Furthermore we are not able to open the report within the launchpad. When we click right-mouse button no option appears.
Someone of you knows this problem and can help us?

We have recently upgraded from EP 7.0 to 7.3 and along with it, we've also moved our VC to 7.3 SPS7. Post the upgrade activities for the VC application created on our end, we are unable to view the content and get the error as:

The above error does not appear in case the user has administrator/content admin access. However, in the absence of these roles, the user gets the error message. Can anyone please provide your valuable inputs on what could be the possible cause for this issue?
We have already tried out an option of creating a test role and assigning the application (which was pasted as a PCD object in portal content) to this role. Now the main page of the application works when it is maintained as default entry for folder under the role, however when the links that navigate to the sub-pages of the applications are clicked, we get the above error message again.
We have assigned the 'Everyone' Group to the identified application based on its path(that appeared in the Web Dynpro Java Applications) and its parent component too and also verified if the tester has the everyone group assigned.
Apart from this, We've also checked the note 1531137, but not of much use. Is there any operation that was missed on our end? Kindly provide your inputs.

When building CLM application or integrating with third party application there is always requirement to add custom jar files. I have been involved/assisted on couple of CLM projects and found issue deploying custom jar files using standard custom jar file deployment tool provided in CLM Installation and configuration guide. The jar file added had "Zero" size .
In this blog I would like to present couple of other options that can be used to deploy Custom Jar files.
1. CLM Installation and configuration Guide (Standard process to deploy custom jar files is available in attached link).

2. Adding custom jar files to esourcing ear file manually using WinRaR or WinZip
esoserver.ear (CLM newer Version) or fcsourcing.ear (CLM older Version)
b. Modify the extension from .ear to .zip, and unzip the zip file or use WinRAR
The unzipped folder should look like one in the screen shot
c. Unzipped fcsourcing.war, the unzipped fcsourcing file should look like one in the screen shots
Delete the fcsourcing.war file after unzip.
d. Go to esoserver\fcsourcing\WEB-INF\lib (new CLM version) or fcsourcing\ fcsourcing \WEB-INF\lib (old CLM Version) folder
Add custom jar files required for your project.
e. Go back to fcssourcing folder (war file folder) and select all files as shown below in the screen shot
f. Select add archive.
g. After archive step , the folder should look like one in the screen shot
h. Rename fcssourcing.zip to fcssourcing.war.
Copy fcssourcing.war file and paste it in “esoserver” folder, the esoserver folder should look like one in the screen shot.
i. Delete fcssourcing folder
j. Select all files in esoserver folder and create archive
Rename esoserver.zip to esoserver.ear
K. Now esoserver.ear is ready for deployment with custom jar files. Undeploy existing ear file and deploy new ear file with custom jars when following "Manually Adding Custom Jar files Option".

3. Adding Custom Jar files using ANT Script :
I have written an ANT script (attached) that can be used to add custom jar file.

c. Create two folders with below names
d. Download and copy attached build file
Your folder and file structure should look similar to below screen shot
e. Copy esoserver.ear to “esourcing_ear_file” folder
f. Copy all the custom jar files you require to “custom_jar_files” folder
g. Open command prompt and go to directory with build file
h. Execute ant command
i. new ear file generated should be found in “esourcing_ear_file” with custom jar file
j. undeploy existing ear file and deploy new ear file with custom jars

I am trying to load payroll data using the extractor 0HR_PY_1_CE into BI system, but I do not get any records into BI. RSA3 shows as 0 records, but there are records in the base tables like P0008. I know that the payroll has been run in HR system and the payroll period is closed and payroll control record updated for a given payroll areas too.
I am trying to do a full load, but still I cannot see any data coming up. Am I checking for the data in wrong tables for that extractor? Can someone tell me what is the job name in HR system that should be scheduled for this data to be extracted. Or is there any other step that should be carried out in HR before I could extract into BI?

It means if a shopping cart is initially rejected and later on approved and converted to PO, We need list of all such shopping carts.

Dear Content server guru's ;-)
at my company we have 5 content servers scattered over the globe.(locally installed at the sites)
We now would like to centralise these (locally installed) content servers to the datacenter and make use of Cache servers on site.
We however have some questions about this process, and not a lot of relevant information can be found on the net.
1.
The first time a ( example 50mb CAD) file is created it will still have to travel over the WAN to the CS in the DC.
The first time it is opened it has to travel over the WAN to the cache server.
Is this correct ?
2.
Impact on the WAN will depend on the size of the documents. Is there a way to list the file sizes of the files in the current CS databases ?
3.
Any other pitfalls or remarks you can think of ?

I have to write a start routine in transformations to get only latest or recent measurement date rocords and delete others and load data to target,User does not want old measurement records.
Let below data from DSO1 to DSO2 moving where I need to check data in Active data table of DSO1 based on 0MPOINT ,OFUNCT_LOC ,
0EQUIPMENT,0DATE and pass only with the records with latest date measurement date.
Let take example in for 0MPOINT (2), only record containing 0MDATE 30.05.2013 has to pass to further target deleting remaining 3 records

Implemented a CDS DDL on AWS SPS6, specifying tables via entities in the HDBDD artefact.
My entity columns in the HDBDD are specified using camel case (where each element of column name starts with capital letter aside from starting element), e.g purchaseOrderId.
When the catalog table object is created upon activation of the HDBDD the column name is all uppercase i.e. PURCHASEORDERID. This makes a difference when consuming odata services within UI5 for example, when refering to table columns in a table element.
Grateful if anyone can confirm they see this too. is there any keyword I am missing in the hDBDD declaration to honour the case, or is this some nature of the HDBDD DDL?

Hi All,
There is one business scenariot where external employees will be working on the different projects , there would one purchase order created for each employee with single line item and account assignment to cost center. Now the requirement is that each employee will fill the timesheet in CATS and this shall lead to the confirmation of activities in PS along with the service entry sheet created in MM-SRV. And, also importantly activity confirmation should happen with the PO price and not by cost center and activity type rate(KP26).
I implemented the note 456720, but it is not helping completely. Process i am follwing is ; in CAT2 i am entering PO number , PO line item , Network and activity.I have also maintained info type 0315 . After this i am running CATM and CAT5, but the problem what i am facing is that network/activity is getting confirmed by KP26 rate whereas requirement is that system should pick PO price .
Please suggest.

We recently did a system copy from BW1 (7.0) to BW2, and then upgraded BW2 to 7.3.
When testing the Open Hub interfaces on BW2, they are writing correctly to BW2 server folders in AL11, however the Server Name parameter is still the name of the old BW1 system. Of course this is confusing to the users of the Open Hubs.
And we have also now found one Open Hub outbound that wrote to both BW1 and BW2 folders as it still has BW1 Server Name defined.
1. Is there a way to maee update the Server Name paramater following the system copy?
2. How does one maintain the Server Name as the object is transported up the landscape (Dev -> Test ->QA->Prod) as they're all different Servers.
